Abundance of Water Equifers in the world Due to the Sedimentary Basins OF Pakistan

1. Upper Indus Basin
2. Middle Indus Basin
3. Lower Indus Basim
4. Baluchistan Basin
5. Pashin Basinpotwar basin
6. Bannu kohat Basin

Due to these Sedimentary Basins in Pakistan the beneficiary of these treasures is the third largest in the World In this regard, Pakistan is a country rich in water treasures hidden i.n the earth and Pakistan is the world's superpower in terms of groundwater aquifer. Only three of the world's 193 countries , China, India and the United States, have larger equifers than Pakistan. This aquifer is spread over an area of more than 50 million acres in Punjab and Sindh under the plains of the Indus River and its tributaries.

In fact, this eco-buffer is our last reliable shield in the face of pakistan's dying rivers and the threat of floods or droughts caused by climate change, in whose chest we have more than a million tubewells and their number is constantly increasing. This aquifer is so large that the water of all the rivers of Pakistan can be absorbed. It will suck more water than a dozen lakes like your Tarbela Dam and it won't matter. Pakistan is currently the third largest country in the world to use ground water for agriculture.

More than half the water (50 million acre feet) in your agriculture is being drawn from this aquifer. Once one crop was taken in a year from the canal system of The Indus River, today we are taking three crops.Due to population pressure, this aquifer has started going down due to excessive water being drawn from tubewells for agricultural and industrial purposes. According to the Asian Development Bank, Pakistan draws about 500 cubic meters of water from the ground at the rate of per person.

On top of this aquifer, up to 100 million acre feet of water falls in the area of Sindh and Punjab in the three months of monsoon alone. This aquifer was naturally recharging for thousands of years, but we have minimized the natural way for water to go into the ground by building concrete houses and asphalt roads.
Rainwater is the cleanest water but instead of being recharged, it is immediately converted into gutter water through roads, sewerage lines and dirty drains, which not only worsens its quality but also makes it flood water scarce.

However, if arrangements are made to recharge the groundwater by collecting this water, not only urban flooding and flash flooding can be controlled, but a lot of water can also be stored without building large dams.

Therefore, immediate emphasis should be laid on the construction of recharge wells, canoe grounds, recharge trenches, ponds, johads in populated areas, while rubber dams and underground dams should be built in drains and rivers and rain and flood water should be recharged underground during the monsoon. For this purpose, the Ravi and Sutlej rivers. The dry parts of the Ravi and Sutlej rivers throughout the year, all the routes of the old Beas river, and the lower reaches of the canals and doabs are the most suitable places.

There is a need for all to work together to reduce and eliminate such trends and play their positive and effective role in making the society a cradle of peaceful peace with love.

Satoon e Naiki Welfare Organization has named natural valley to realize this noble cause where there are public initiatives to build a peaceful society to execute the sustainable Social development on grass root level with the community participation .

In order to create a prosperous peaceful society at the public level, the first place is to create public participation with public awareness in positive activities.
